Agnès Troublé, known as Agnès B., received the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo in 2014, at the 20th Sarajevo Film Festival — ten years after she designed the very trophy she was given.
This is the one page on the roll where the maker received the thing she made. The French fashion designer, a friend and patron of the festival since its early years, drew the heart shape that had been in informal circulation since the festival’s beginnings; in 2004 the festival formalised it as its visual identity. A decade later she was handed the metal version of her own drawing. It is the closest the award’s history comes to a perfect circle.
